Your Data, Your Rights
Liberty Movement is committed to protecting the privacy and security of all members and users. We believe privacy is a fundamental civil right.
1. Data Collection Purpose
We collect personal information only to support membership, volunteering, donations, learning, issue reporting and community engagement. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to any third party under any circumstances.
2. Explicit Consent
All data collection requires your explicit consent. When you join, donate, or report an issue, you will always be asked to confirm what data you are sharing. Members can review, update or delete their data at any time through the Liberty OS portal.
3. User Rights
- Right to access: You can request a copy of all data we hold about you.
- Right to correct: You can update inaccuracies in your profile.
- Right to delete: You can request full deletion of your account and data.
- Right to withdraw consent: You can opt-out of communications at any time.
- Right to data portability: You can export your learning records and volunteer badges.
4. Data Retention
Personal data is retained only as long as necessary for the stated purpose. If you cancel your membership, your personal data will be anonymized or securely deleted within 30 days.
5. Access Control & Security
Data access within Liberty Movement is restricted to authorized personnel only. Role-based access controls are implemented in Liberty OS so that a local coordinator can only see the necessary contact information for members in their specific geographic area.
6. Public vs Private Data
Our Transparency Dashboardpublishes aggregate data only (e.g., "500 members joined this week"). We never publish individual personal information, names, or contact details without explicit, separate consent (such as for public foundation project donors who wish to be recognized).
